Aged new floors
There are two types of new aged floors: solid or engineered.
New massive aged floors
These floors are obtained using aging processes to recreate the effects of time on wood
- Wear (blows)
- Patina (chemical reactions)
Our aged floors perfectly resemble those of the 18th century. They are available in common widths from 14 to 22 cm. Widths of 27 cm or even 45 to 50 cm are possible on request. The classic thickness oscillates between 20 and 22 mm.
New aged engineered floors
The advantages of new aged engineered floors are numerous:
- Larger blade widths
- Installation directly on a sound and dry screed or an old tiling after leveling
- Compatibility with underfloor heating at low temperature
- 2.5-5mm wear layer in solid wood
- Wood less sensitive to hydrometric variations
On the other hand, the cost of a new aged laminated floor is higher than that of a solid floor due to specific machining.
New aged parquet floors
In the same way as for floors, new aged parquet reproduces the wear and patina of time. Our selection of parquet flooring is close to 18th century models, with several thicknesses, shapes and patterns available. On request, we can also reproduce old parquet floors.
